Early in this decade, remote work started to become a “thing”, a new exciting concept. Probably software developers were the first group of workers to win the “working remotely” battle, followed by designers, creators, writers. Now, this year the world saw a massive leap forward in the concept´s development and popularity. At a time when businesses were shifting from analog to digital, along comes a pandemic that put the entire world into their houses. With the absolute necessity to maintain as much productivity as possible, working remotely, this past year, was not the exception but the rule. And in the vast majority of cases, it worked.

Elon Musk has been busy creating a prospect of the future we all imagine. It all seems so distant from our way of living that we don’t even realize how close we are to this so-called future. But Musk is there to fill that gap with a project that will provide high-speed internet for everyone. Though this is a promising project, we have to ask ourselves what it would mean for an increasing population of remote workers around the world.

Diverse environments are naturally more creative and innovative because of the different points of view, ways of thinking and acting, etc. Which ultimately can help a lot in an organization to improve and grow
